• Prospa awarded Best Fintech Lender Award in all state awards
  • Three Prospa team members recognised in State Best Business Development Manager Awards
  • Prospa’s Roberto Sanz wins National BDM/Lender Excellence award

Sydney, Friday 27th July 2018: Prospa, Australia’s leading online lender to small businesses, was last night named National Fintech Lender of the Year in the prestigious 2018 MFAA Excellence Awards, after receiving the accolade across all state and territory awards. The Excellence Awards are presented to members of the MFAA who have demonstrated quality customer service, professionalism, innovation, ethics and excellence in their field.

The Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (the MFAA) has also recognised Prospa’s Roberto Sanz as the National Winner of Business Development Manager in the Lender and Support Service Provider category for 2018.

These wins build on Prospa’s earlier successes at the State MFAA Excellence Awards, where it picked up five from five Fintech Lender of the Year Awards across all Australian states and territories, solidifying its position as the lender of choice for small businesses and the partner of choice for brokers. At a State level the MFAA also recognised three of Prospa’s business development managers, with Simon Winters and Roberto Sanz winning Queensland and VIC/TAS state Business Development Manager of the year awards respectively – against BDMs from all categories of lender. Prospa’s Franco Bombardieri was a finalist in the VIC/TAS category.

The MFAA Excellence Awards are the most rigorous in the Australian mortgage and finance industry and are judged by an independent panel of business professionals and experts.

Commenting on the win, Matt Bauld, General Manager Sales and Business Development at Prospa said: “It’s a real honour to be recognised by the MFAA at both a national and a state level. This is a testament to the strong network of relationships we have built with our broker partners, and our continued dedication to helping them grow their businesses and find the best solutions for their customers.

“It’s an important milestone for the fintech industry. This is the first time fintech lenders have been recognised as a category in this year’s MFAA Excellence Awards and we appreciate the support of our peak bodies like MFAA to build confidence in the fintech industry so it can continue to grow.

Bauld concludes: “ I’d like to congratulate Roberto on his win tonight. It’s a massive achievement for a fintech lender BDM to win this award. It’s an entire team effort – the sum of all the parts that creates this level of achievement. Our team have all worked incredibly hard and these accolades show they’re making a real impact to our partners and small business owners across Australia.”
